Project Name: Alameda
In late 2014, 283 miles of LiDAR data were scanned in Alameda, California. In 2016, the mapping team performed asset extraction with both Spatial Factory and Orbit, creating data of sidewalks, medians, curb ramps, and pavement lines and markings. Using ArcGIS, attributes were found for the features, such as widths of sidewalks and conditions of pavement markings.
These features underwent a heavy QC by several members of the team, who checked for spatial correctness, as well as any errors in attribution. After the QC was completed, the geodatabase was sent off to the client.
